1. What Skillvee is
Skillvee runs work simulations for companies that are hiring. A company sends you a simulation as part of its own hiring process: you work on a realistic problem from the role, talk to AI characters in chat and on calls, and, in most simulations, explain your decisions on a call. Skillvee runs the simulation; the company runs its hiring process and makes its own decisions.
2. What is recorded, and who sees it
During the session we record your screen, your camera and your microphone, along with the messages you send, your calls (which are also transcribed) and the work you hand in. The hiring team at the company that invited you can see all of it. Skillvee staff look at it only to help you when you ask for support, to check the quality of our scoring, to keep the service secure, or when the law requires it. We don't sell it, and no other company sees it unless you choose to make your profile visible to them.
3. Identity check
Some companies ask you to confirm it's you before the process starts. You take a photo of your government ID and a photo of your face with your webcam, and an AI model (Gemini, run by Google, which processes the photos on our behalf) compares the two to say whether they show the same person. The comparison uses facial features, which the law treats as biometric data, so we ask for your separate consent on that screen before any photo is taken. The check reads only the document type, the issuing country and your name from the ID, and it never checks whether the document is genuine. It never decides anything: you always continue, any result the model was unsure about is shown to the company for a person to look at, and nothing from it is used to score you. No face template is created or kept. You can show your ID to a person instead, with no effect on your process.
4. Who decides
The company that invited you makes the hiring decision. Skillvee provides evidence and makes no decision itself. There is no automatic pass or fail, any decision is made by a person, and we never send a hire or no-hire recommendation. How you're evaluated explains what we look at.
5. AI and other tools
You may use any AI tools, and any other tools you normally work with, as long as you don't have another person do the simulation for you.
6. It's an exercise, not real work
The people, data and situation in the simulation are invented, and nothing you produce is used for real work by Skillvee, by the company that invited you or by anyone else. You keep ownership of what you create, and you allow Skillvee and the company that invited you to store it, review it and score it for this hiring process.
7. Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your recording, transcript, work and scores until you ask us to delete them. You can ask to delete your account and everything in it at any time from your profile, or by writing to hi@skillvee.com. We delete the recording, transcript, scores and associated files within 31 days of the request. Deleting your data at Skillvee doesn't remove copies a company already has, such as results sent to its applicant tracking system or a PDF report it downloaded. To have those deleted, ask that company too. The identity check has its own schedule: the photos are deleted 30 days after the check, and the record of your consent is kept for 5 years. If your process started with a screening call, its recording, audio and video, is deleted 180 days after the call.
8. No fees
Skillvee is free for candidates. We will never ask you to pay for a simulation, your results or your feedback.
9. Using the service fairly
Don't sign up as someone else, and don't try to break, overload or get around the service. If you do, we may close your account.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The date at the bottom shows when they last changed. This version adds the identity check (sections 3 and 7), announced on October 19, 2026 and in effect from November 18, 2026.
