Co-founder, Skillvee
German is the co-founder of Skillvee, where he works on a specific problem: how engineering teams evaluate the way a candidate actually works, not just whether they can pass a coding test. Skillvee runs a 60-minute "day at work" simulation that replaces the recruiter phone screen and technical first round, and scores candidates across six dimensions — code, communication, collaboration, agency, AI leverage, and judgment.
His writing focuses on what broke in technical hiring once candidates could use AI, and what to do about it. The through-line: the screen layer collapsed because it only ever measured code, and AI made that impossible to ignore. He argues teams should stop trying to detect AI use and start measuring how well candidates leverage it, alongside the dimensions that actually predict on-the-job performance.
He works with engineering leaders at Series A–C companies who are rebuilding their interview process for the AI era.
